I had reached a stage where my Mallet skin was in good shape, it fit the mold of the model quite well and the handle section slid straight into the cutout that i had made for it. there were just a few touch ups that needed to be done before it could be consider a completed project.

To smooth up the external surface of the skin a ran it through the english wheel a few times as best as i could but its irregular shape made it quite difficult to get good results, i also used steel wool to try and shine up the surface. |

To even up the edges of the skin i gave the head section a quick tidy up with both the snips and the file. |

This image demonstrates the end shape of my head section skin positioned next to the laser cut mallet model |

This image demonstrates the snugness that i was able to create around the nose of the mallet. Although it was not as good as the top section of the skin mold. Given more time i believe i could achieve a more desired result |

This image is demonstrating the skins relationship to the model, i believe in this situation i achieved a great result, forcing the metal considerably close to the mallet laser cut mold. |
