My Interdisciplinary Skin: The final Stages

I had reached a stage where my Mallet skin was in good shape, it fit the mold of the model quite well and the handle section slid straight into the cutout that i had made for it. there were just a few touch ups that needed to be done before it could be consider a completed project.
'
To smooth up the external surface of the skin a ran it through the english wheel a few times as best as i could but its irregular shape made it quite difficult to get good results, i also used steel wool to try and shine up the surface.
To even up the edges of the skin i gave the head section a quick tidy up with both the snips and the file.

This image demonstrates the end shape of my head section skin positioned next to the laser cut mallet model
This image demonstrates the snugness that i was able to create around the nose of the mallet. Although it was not as good as the top section of the skin mold. Given more time i believe i could achieve a more desired result

This image is demonstrating the skins relationship to the model, i believe in this situation i achieved a great result, forcing the metal considerably close to the mallet laser cut mold.
